Marquez vs Pacquiao II 3rd Round Knockdown Video

The see saw action that the audience saw in the Marquez vs Pacquaio II Full Fight is a classic bout that thrilled viewers with their drama, blood and an ending filled with suspense. The win by Manny Pacquiao replaced Juan Manuel Marquez as the next WBC Super Feather Champion. In this very close fight, it was the third round knockdown punch by Pacquiao that buckled Marquez knees, making him land on the floor with a perfect left hand to the chin.

The third round started with both fighters displaying their counterpunching, but after Marquez attempted a right hand that was blocked by Pacquiao, Pacquiao counter-punched with a right hand which missed but was quickly followed with a left hand that sent Juan Manuel Marquez down the floor. Marquez being the fighter that he is, got back up to his feet, to finish an exciting round, but once again was hit twice by Pacquiao's combination right and left, that buckled Marquez in what looks like a partial-knockdown, before the bell rang.

In the end, it was the third round knockdown that became the deciding factor in this exciting fight. Repeating his statement in 2004, Juan Manuel Marquez said that one round doesn’t make a fight, but for the judges, the knockdown was enough of a factor. When the winner was announced, the 3rd knockdown punch sealed Juan Manuel’s fate.

Manny Pacquiao vs Arnel Barotillo

A punch by punch encounter between Manny Pacquiao vs Arnel Barotillo at Ninoy Aquino Stadium, Malate, Metro Manila, Philippines. After defeating Reynante Jamili, Pacquaio defended his WBC International super bantamweight title in this March 4, 2000 fight.

It was a close fight at first, with Barotillo being the aggressor in the the two rounds, aiming for Pacquiaos' mid-section. But after a series of left hand punches in the 3rd round, Barotillo went down only to be saved by the bell. But Pacquaio proved to too much for the Australian Barotillo, unable to stand after his 2nd knock-down in the fourth round. Manny Pacquiao retained his title.
