Manny Pacquiao's trip has been filled with one rousing event after another. Upon returning to Philippines after his fight with Marquez, he went on a Victory Motorcade parade in Manila, thereafter received the first Elorde Hall of Fame Award, before being promoted to an honorary master sergeant reserve by the Philippine Army.

He received yet another warm welcome at his home town, General Santos City, to a festive welcome rites that was prepared by Mayor Pedro Acharon Jr and Congresswoman Darlene Custodio at the General Santos International Airport. Like in Manila, Pacquiao went on a motorcade in the city’s major thoroughfares.

In a press conference at the covered court of the Carlos Garcia Park, Pacquiao thanked his fans and at the same time sought their support for his scheduled bout with WBC lightweight champion David Diaz. "If I ever do get the title in lightweight division, I would be the 6th person in the whole world to have four titles in different divisions," said Pacquiao.

He end his journey by proceeding to Malungon town in Sarangani province, southern Mindanao where he was conferred the rank of "Datu Damfel Banwe," an honor symbolizing ability, courage and wisdom. Pacquiao, garbed with the native costume of the leading dominant indigenous group B'laan Tribe, was also given seeds of Duguan Tree, which was now renamed to Pacquiao Tree.

Manny Pacquiao Motorcade Victory Parade Video

Manny Pacquiao returns to Philippines a week after winning the fight with Mexico's Marquez. His traditional victory motorcade float was greeted with confetti by the residents of the areas he visited.

The motorcade began at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources along the Elliptical Road in Quezon City and passed through Quezon Avenue, enroute to Manila, Pasay, and Makati.

The motorcade, which kicked off at around 9:55 a.m., lasted for at least four hours.

Pacquiao's motorcade, reached Manila about 10:30 a.m. and passed through Tayuman and Pritil Streets in Tondo. Residents in Tondo went outside their homes to wave and cheer at Pacquiao, whose motorcade convoy included at least 20 vehicles.

Pacquiao was seen surrounded by his security staff while riding at the back of a black Ford F-150 pickup, which was draped with Philippine flags. He wore a T-shirt while an aide held his championship belts.

Employees reportedly rushed out of their offices to greet the Filipino boxing champ even as moving vehicles stopped their engines to get a closer look.

A portion of España Avenue was also reportedly littered with confetti thrown as the boxing champion graced the area. From Lacson Street in España, Pacquiao's motorcade headed over to Moriones then to Radial Road 10 (R-10) in Tondo, Manila.

The parade crossed the Delpan Bridge to Roxas Boulevard before going to T.M. Kalaw Street and Taft Avenue in Ermita, Manila. Pacquiao's motorcade also visited Vito Cruz Street in the city's Malate district before entering Pasay City through F.B. Harrison Street.

Pacquiao ended his four-city motorcade in Makati City, where he graced Buendia, Ayala, and Makati avenues. As the victory motorcade carried him through Makati’s central business district Tuesday, office girls in uniforms shrieked like schoolgirls and smartly dressed executives whipped out their camera phones for a quick snapshot of the smiling, waving boxing idol. Some office workers ran out of doors for a glimpse of the boxer, while others peeked out from windows.

Pacquiao has since returned to the Renaissance Hotel in Makati where he has been staying since he arrived Monday.

Manny Pacquiao returns to Philippines after Fighting Marquez

New World Boxing Council champion Manny Pacquiao returned home Monday to a hero's welcome, eight days after he snatched the super featherweight title from Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez.

Philippine cabinet officials joined Pacquiao's wife and three young children in welcoming the 29-year-old slugger, a week after a bruising 12 rounder with Marquez whom he beat by split decision to grab the title in Las Vegas. Pacquiao arrived aboard Philippine Airlines flight 103 before 7 a.m. and received a warm welcome from well-wishers and from family and friends.

Pacquiao has reitarated his dismay at some Filipino boxing analysts who doubt his victory. In his written rebuttal Finished Business, he stated that he won fair and square, statements that was supported by known Philippines boxing analyst.

But he says that a rematch can wait and he would oblige Marquez "anytime, if the price is right." He said Marquez as expected would press for a second rematch, but stressed he won the fight "convincingly" with a third-round left hook that decked Marquez. Pacquiao, he was looking at going up to the lightweight division at 135 pounds to face WBC champ David Diaz.

Boxing champion Manny Pacquiao attended a thanksgiving mass at some church, answered a few questions at a press conference, before meeting with President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and her husband, Jose Miguel, in Malacañang Palace Monday afternoon.

Pacquiao has a motorcade today in Quezon City, Manila, Pasay City and Makati City. He will also attend the Eighth Gabriel “Flash” Elorde Memorial Awards at the Centennial Hall of the Manila Hotel on Tuesday to receive Philippine boxing’s highest honor. Pacquiao will be the first Filipino fighter to be enshrined in the Elorde Boxing Hall of Fame, an honor given to boxers who receive the Boxer of the Year award for seven consecutive years.

Why castigate Manny?

SPORTING CHANCE By Joaquin M. Henson
Thursday, March 20, 2008

It is appalling to find some Filipinos casting doubt on the integrity of Manny Pacquiao’s win by split decision over Juan Manuel Marquez in Las Vegas last Saturday.

Like the sourgrapers in Marquez’ camp, they’re insinuating Top Rank chairman Bob Arum did a sleight of hand to protect his hefty investment in Pacquiao by loading the judges panel with personal choices. Marquez’ supporters claim the Mexican should’ve won because the punchstats show he landed more blows.

Allow me to raise three points to clear the air on this issue.

First, the record will establish that both Pacquiao and Marquez gave their thumbs-up on the three judges who were assigned by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. In fact, one original choice Bill Flaherty was replaced on Pacquiao’s instance because he is Roach’s family friend. He was subbed by Tom Miller, 48. The two other judges were veterans Duane Ford, 70, and Jerry Roth, 66, whose reputation for fairness is unassailable. Ford has been a judge since 1978 and Roth, 1982. They’ve been involved in major world title fights before so working last Saturday’s fight was not an unfamiliar experience.

Miller has been a judge since 1996. By the way, it was recently disclosed that in his personal scorecard, Flaherty scored it 114-113 for Pacquiao, the same as Miller. So the verdict would’ve been the same even if Flaherty had not been replaced.

* * * *

Second, it must be explained that punchstats are a summary of total blows thrown and connected, broken down into jabs and power shots. Just because a fighter connected more punches on an accumulated basis doesn’t necessarily mean he won. Remember that punchstats show totals from the start of the fight to the end and a bout is judged from round to round, not by an accumulation of blows landed.

For instance, a fighter may take a round with a comfortable margin and receive a 10-9 count from the judges. If his opponent wins the next round by a slim margin, he also receives a 10-9 count. If you total the punches connected in the two rounds, one fighter will have the edge. But in the judges scorecards, it will be dead even. That’s how it is in boxing. You judge round by round, not by an accumulation of total punches connected at the end of the fight.

In the punchstats for last Saturday’s fight, Marquez landed more blows, 172 to Pacquiao’s 157, and was more accurate, 34 percent to 25 percent. Pacquiao, being the aggressor, threw more blows, 619 to 511 or a huge difference of 108. Some judges give a lot of credit to aggressiveness because after all, boxing is a combative sport.

In terms of jabs, Pacquiao threw 314 to Marquez’ 201, but landed only one more, 43 to 42. The figures proved that Marquez didn’t really jab as much as he was supposed to, averaging less than four connections a round.

In power punches, Marquez landed 130 of 310 compared to Pacquiao’s 114 of 305. The difference of 16 in connections is insignificant, considering the length of the fight or 12 rounds.

It is therefore not accurate to base the outcome of a fight on punchstats which do not break down into rounds.

* * * *

Third, the judges’ scorecards didn’t show major disparities. They scored the first round for Pacquiao – which The STAR did, too. They also scored the third, fourth and 10th for the Filipino. Additionally, they were unanimous in scoring the second, fifth, seventh, eighth and 11th rounds for Marquez.

The judges differed only in scoring three rounds – the sixth, ninth and 12th. In the sixth, Miller and Roth gave it to Marquez and Ford to Pacquiao. In the ninth, Miller and Roth scored it for Pacquiao and Ford to Marquez. In the 12th, Ford had it for Pacquiao while Miller and Roth saw it for Marquez.

So the discrepancy in scoring was far from being an eternity. From the scorecards, it’s clear that the difference was in the knockdown that Pacquiao produced in the third round because it meant a 10-8 count or a two-point cushion. In a close bout, a knockdown could be the decider and it was in last Saturday’s fight.

If Pacquiao had not decked Marquez but won the third round anyway, it would’ve been a split draw just like the outcome in their first fight. If Marquez won the third round, he would’ve won by majority decision.

Don’t forget that Pacquiao should’ve won the first meeting by a split decision four years ago. Burt Clements, the judge who had it a draw, admitted he made a mistake in shortchanging Pacquiao by a point in the first round when Marquez went down thrice but under boxing rules, the scorecard couldn’t be altered after the fact.

So if you really think about it, Pacquiao has effectively beaten Marquez twice.

The problem with some Filipino fans is they’ve been spoiled by Pacquiao and expect nothing less than a spectacular knockout in each of his fights.

Marquez is a tough opponent and because of his style, will always be difficult for Pacquiao to handle. Pacquiao could’ve done more things to win convincingly last Saturday – he could’ve used the right hand more, he could’ve hit and spun like he did in the second and third Erik Morales fights, he could’ve cut the ring off with more authority on Marquez to close the distance between them, he could’ve jabbed more, he could’ve attacked the body more consistently, he could’ve used more lateral movement instead of insisting on coming forward linearly.

There are so many other “could’ves” to cite but the fact is two of the three judges scored it for Pacquiao and he won, fair and square. Pacquiao earned the victory because he fought with the bigger heart, came back strong in the late rounds and every Filipino should be proud of his achievement in becoming the first Asian to win three world titles in different divisions. He bled for every one of his countrymen, he took Marquez’ hardest shots without backing down. You couldn’t ask anything more from a hero.

Alden “The Kid” Chodash

There are many boxing analysts around, but the 13 years old Alden “The Kid” Chodash may very well be one of the youngest boxing aficionado in town. Alden is a member of The Boxing Writers Association Of America, host of FightFan.com's Alden Chodash Show and a regular contributor to FightFan.com, Cyberboxingzone.com, EastSideBoxing.com, among others.

His weekly Alden "The Kid" Chodash Boxing Show at Youtube is filled with boxing analysis that is remarkable for his age. Though some of his opinion misses the target big time, he usually balances it out with positives. So although he was wrong in calling Pacquiao a mediocre technical boxer, he nonetheless labeled Manny a tremendous puncher.

Alden's boxing predictions and previous fight review can be seen at his website. The video below shows his review of the the 2nd fight of Pacquiao and Marquez.

Alden "The Kid" Chodash Boxing Show at Youtube

Transcript: "It was great. Everything that I expected, the only thing that didn't play out was the Marquez victory but he was only a point away. And uh, it exceeded expectations, uh, once again as is in many of Marquez and Pacquiao's bout."

"They're perfect for each other, uh, probably the right thing for them not take a third fight, because uh, at the end of their career they'll just keep deteriorating each other. And uh, that's probably for the best sake. It's a lot different that Rafael Marquez reasoning in his great rivalry with Israel Vasquez in which he doesn't know to stop, the uh, rivalry. But good for both of them, it was a great performance, it was a great night for boxing."

"Really, he's (Manny Pacquiao) a mediocre (technical) fighter down the scale, but he is such a tremendous puncher, and he knows how to apply his power so effectively that he can bedevil such technical, technically brilliant fighter such as Juan Manuel Marquez."

"Well, I think it took him (Juan Manuel Marquez), well, first of all let me just say that I wouldn't think that he would have made it past the third round, if only for the fact that he had 10 seconds to recover, but it took him the 4th round to fully recover from that punch. It was a tremendous shot and it came from a couple of left hands that started the trouble for him to begin with."

"Marquez, he just fought a perfect fight, I'm being truthful, I think he did enough to win the fight. But it was extremely close and the punching power of Manny Pacquiao was kept him from victory however. Because when Marquez started to pick it up, uh, Manny Pacquiao catch him with a shot that hurt him, and uh, would startle Marquez over completely."

"I think he (Pacquiao) became more creative in ways to try to get to his left hands, I think that is really is the difference. Not really with his right, not like he has became a two handed puncher, it's just that a great fight with Marquez just didn't give the chance to show Pacquiao's right hand."

"Marquez landed more shots that in the first fight, but I think, Manny knows how to pull back, he's not a tremendous defensive fighter, but uh, he does enough, to keep Marquez, from hurting him too much."

"I think Marquez is all-round the best of all the three (Mexican fighters). Technically speaking, I think he would have beaten Morales and Barrera, both at their best. But I'm not sure that he is going down to be the best, I'm not sure he is as accomplished as much as uh, Morales and Barrera, although I think he's all-around the better boxer than the both of them."

Finished Business by Manny Pacquiao

An article written by Manny Pacquiao, as a reaction to some boxing analyst.

Finished Business, Original Tagalog Version

March 20, 2008
Source: Abante Online

Isang masayang pagbati po sa inyong lahat. Malugod ko po kayong kinukumusta matapos sabay-sabay nating natamo ang isa sa pinakamimithi nating hangarin.

I would like to report to the Filipino people and to all boxing fans, especially my family and supporters: Mission accomplished!

I congratulate Juan Manuel for giving his best, and I think he gave out the best performance of his career. Our fight was a victory for all of boxing because we proved to everyone that we have the heart of champions and nobody backed off from giving the fans what they paid to see and hoped to happen.

Marami po sa aking mga kababayan ang malugod na tumawag sa akin upang batiin at marami akong natanggap na mga masasayang comments, lahat sila ay naniniwala na ako ang karapat-dapat na nanalo sa laban. I commend my opponent for coming up with the best offense and defense which made our fight interesting and very, very close.

Finished Business English Translation

Happy tidings to you all. I hope you are all well, after we, together, realized one of our fondest hopes.

I would like to report to the Filipino people and to all boxing fans, especially my family and supporters: Mission Accomplished! I am bringing home the World Boxing Council super-featherweight title and the Ring Magazine “People’s Champion” belt, after the entire Filipino nation triumphed this Saturday (Sunday in Manila) in Las Vegas,
Nevada.

Likely, you already know or have heard of the result of the fight, that I won by way of a split decision against former champion Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico.

I congratulate Juan Manuel for giving his best, and I think he gave out the best performance of his career. Our fight was a victory for all of boxing because we proved to everyone that we have the heart of champions and nobody backed off from giving the fans what they paid to see and hoped to happen.

Many of our countrymen called in their heartfelt congratulations to me, and I received many happy comments, all of them believing that I justly won the fight. I commend my opponent for coming up with the best offense and defense which made our fight interesting and very, very close.

I believe that the knockdown that I delivered in the third round was one of the biggest breaks in my favor, and I have no doubt that I am rightfully the champion from that fight. Our "Unfinished Business" is now "Finished Business",
if I were to be asked.

There are many who criticize the decision of the judges, and it is disheartening that some of these are fellow Filipinos, including some members of media. It is curious how they feel superior to the three judges right in front of the ring and focused totally on the fight. Others, criticizing me, include those watching only before a small TV in a noisy space, or in a dark theater. I cannot begrudge them. In a free society, every one has a right to give their opinion, be it right or wrong.

It is no problem for me if a rematch can again be arranged, even if we have to fight ten more times, but to what end? I've proven that I can stay with, beat and drop one of the absolute best counterpunchers in the realm of boxing, and as the three judges' decision makes clear, there's naught left to debate or argue.

When we fought to a draw in our first fight, and one judge erred, was there anyone calling for an investigation because of the mistake, since that judge admitted he should have scored the first round 10-6 and not 10-7? I cannot fathom why these people now comment as they do. Perhaps it is due to advancing age on their part, and they are unaware of what they are doing. Oh, mother! That I should not be like them when I grow old, and speak so recklessly.

I am unhappy about the scribblings and utterances of Ricardo “Recah” Trinidad of the Inquirer, along wit others, because they devalue all the sacrifices I've given the country and my staking of my very life. I've heard that this old man wishes to have the fight judges investigated. I can only only try to laugh it off, but I am irritated.

The three judges, Tom Miller, Duane Ford and Jerry Roth, along with HBO analyst Harold Lederman, have the same scores for the first five rounds, myself ahead 48-46. Two of the official judges favored me in the sixth round. Judges Miller and Ford gave identical scores for rounds 9 and 10, which assured that I would be named champion in the end. It dismays me, how Trinidad is demanding an investigation because things are not in accord with his opinion. Whose investigation will it be? A Senate investigation? A supreme Court investigation? A Las Vegas-based investigation?

Mr. Trinidad, you should act upon your proposal, and pehaps try to draw supporters to march upon EDSA. You furthermore needle me on this victory because you claim our people are suffering from disunity because of contrary opinions on whether I won or lost.

Mr. Trinidad does not allow himself the least bit of shame. I believe the decision was fair, and should end all such discussion, thank you very much.

APL de ap Allan Pineda

"Bebot" is a song from The Black Eyed Peas' 2005 album Monkey Business. Allan Pineda Lindo also known as APL de ap sang the 1st verse during HBO's Marquez vs. Pacquiao 2 Countdown show, when he was featured along side Manny Pacquiao and his group in a resturant. Manny Pacquiao used the song as an entrance theme for his 2nd fight against Juan Manuel Marquez. Bebot is a Tagalog slang word which means "pretty woman", "hot chick", "hottie", "baby/babe".

In a similar fashion to "The Apl Song", which appeared on the group's 2003 album Elephunk, the song is rapped solo by apl.de.ap as a tribute to his childhood upbringing in the Philippines. However, in contrast to the first song's somber tone, "Bebot" is an uptempo song designed to be played at parties and clubs.

Bebot Generation One Music Video

This version, labeled "Generation One" for its portrayal of first-generation Filipino Americans, is set in the 1930s and focuses on showing the life the early Filipino immigrants in Stockton, California as migrant farm workers. The video portrays the relationships between race and gender at the time, as Caucasian women (played by Fergie) are the objects of the Filipino men's affection.

In the early days of Filipino American immigration, only men were allowed into the United States, thus accounting for a large gender disparity in the Filipino American community. Therefore, Filipino American men often courted Caucasian women. Historically, courtships and sexual relations between Filipino men and Caucasian women caused a backlash amongst Caucasian men, leading to hate crimes being committed and the eventual passing of anti-miscegenation laws.

Bebot Generation Two Music Video

The "Generation Two" video is included in the Black Eyed Peas' music DVD, "Live From Sydney to Vegas". Before the video was officially released online, it was played at a Black Eyed Peas concert at Araneta Coliseum in Manila, Philippines as apl.de.ap performed the song.

The video begin with an introduction with Fergie and Taboo knocking on APL's house which then his mom answers and starts to talk to them in a thick, heavy Filipino accent and then she asks Allan to come down and starts to embarrass him and then his baby sister Jasmine comes and Fergie tells his mom they're going to the park.

The music beginning shows Apl, Fergie, Will.I.Am and Taboo in different colour backgrounds singing. Afterwards the video showed Apl, Fergie, Will.I.Am, Taboo and his little sister singing at the park with girls and cars having a good time.

In this video Jasmine Trias was featured playing apl.de.ap's sister. Other Filipino-American celebrities appearing in either version of the video include DJ Rhettmatic of the Beat Junkies DJ crew , rap group Native Guns, mixed martial artist Brandon Vera, boxer Brian Viloria, Camile Velasco and Jose "Sway" Penala, amongst many others.

Post-fight Manny Pacquiao Victory Speech at Las Vegas Press Conference

The Post-Fight press session was full of verbal exchanges. Marquez Team believed they won the fight and demanded an immediate rematch. Pacquiao's promoter, Top Rank's Bob Arum, and Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer got into a number of verbal angry match, before the new champ arrived.

When Manny Pacquiao gave his speech he combined the words from his previous interview with Larry Merchant and pre-fight press conference, which proves that no only did Manny improve his boxing skills, but his fluency in English as well.

Transcript of Manny Pacquiao's Victory Speech

"Good evening, everybody. First, uhm, thanks to the lord, for giving me this another victory, and uhm, for giving me the strength tonight. And thank you to all of you uh, for being here tonight to support us. And uhm, thank you to all the fans, especially the promoter, Bob Arum, and Golden Boy promotion. "He's a really good fighter tonight, and he has a lot of improvement especially he's a counter-puncher, his counter-punch, and, and I really, really, it's really, really hard fighter."

"When I suffered a cut, there's nothing to put in my mind that I quit, to knock me out and you win. But I'm still fighting until the 12 rounds."

"Well, when the first, when I knock him down, the knock down, you know, uh, it's uh h, I think I'm lucky to hit the uhm, left hand. I'm not really aggressive because he's a good counter-puncher, my strategy is to counter-punch back to him, and you know, and I'm very surprise with his style tonight. His moving head, a lot of head movement. And uhm, his jab, not like before in the first fight."

"Yeah, the 11th round and 12th round, I didn't see his punches but, you know, I'm still uhm, keep on fighting to give the, I had to win the last two rounds, because if I lose the last two rounds, you know, I'm losing the points. So i need to win the last two rounds, so keep on punching, even I didn't see where he go."

"Well, I'm actually, honest you guys, Marquez he has a power, but I can handle his power, that's why, I'm very confident in that 2nd round. And uh, but I'm still uh, careful of the fight because you know, his style, his counter-punching."

"Once again, I would like to thank my wife. To all of you guys, without you, we're nothing here, we're not here. Especially, thank God for giving me, the strength tonight, and to all of you. And I hope that you always support us, especially uh, uh, Filipino boxers."

Post Fight Interview Video and Transcript of Pacquiao vs Marquez II

After Manny Pacquiao won the fight, Larry Merchant interviewed both Manny and Juan Manuel. He asked them through his boxing analysis question and Merchant's asking them both if the third round knockdown is a factor. Both fighters think that they've won.

Here's the transcript and the full video of the interview.

Larry Merchant interviewing Manny Pacquiao

Larry Merchant: Congratulations Manny, were you surprise by the result? Did you think that you have won the fight?

Manny Pacquiao: Yeah, I think I won the fight, and uh, I really expect this fight it's gonna be hard because Marquez he trained hard and he prepared for this fight.

Larry Merchant: What did you see in him that was different from the first fight? What did you do to try and win this fight?

Manny Pacquiao: Actually, the last time, the first time, he jab a lot, and uhm, and then now he, he didn't jab.

Larry Merchant: How much did the cut-off over your eye bother you?

Manny Pacquiao: Oh, it really bothered me because I can't see my right eyes, and uh, I can't see his uh, right and then left and right hands and then in hook. That's why I'm so bothered and I told them, I, my coach that I'm uh, make it heal so that I can recover in this fight.

Larry Merchant: The difference in this fight proved to be your knockdown of him. Let's see if we can take another look at the knock down, and you tell us what happens. You try your right hand and you miss...

Manny Pacquiao: Well, uhm, that's our plan, our number one plan, for the training is the left hook and uh, I'm lucky to hit that round.

Larry Merchant: Did he do a good job another than that, of not letting you do too much damage with your left hand?

Manny Pacquiao: Well, uhm, I see Marquez this tonight because uh, he move fast, and he had head movement and uhm, more counterpunch.

Larry Merchant: Could you have beaten him, four years ago, with this style of fighting? We're you so much better now that you we're able to beat him this time?

Manny Pacquiao: Well, I, I think I'm uh, I believe that I do my best try tonight, and uh, I'm happy because I win. It's really hard opponent Marquez that's why I'm uh...

Larry Merchant: All right, we assume that this is your last fight at junior lightweight, that you would move up in weight, for your next fight, is that true?

Manny Pacquiao: I don't now yet, because I didn't talk to my uhm, to my promoter yet, and also my camp. But we have a plan to fight on 135 lbs. but uh, it's not yet, uh, fixed.

Larry Merchant: Thank you, congratulations again Manny.

Larry Merchant interviewing Juan Manuel Marquez

Larry Merchant: Juan Manuel, you fought a wonderful fight. First, tell us how bad was the eye to the late stages of the fight. For you, to be able to deal with.

Juan Manuel Marquez: (English Translation) It didn't affect me, it was a head-butt, and then we thought we won, and the decision wasn't correct.

Larry Merchant: Once again, the knock-down proved to be the difference in this fight. Did you fight, other than that, the fight that you wanted to fight?

Juan Manuel Marquez: (English Translation) Yes, we've hurt him, we've hurt him three, four, five times, but like in 2004, it's not only just one round.

Larry Merchant: Do you feel like in a way, this is the story of your career, that somehow this slipped away from you, as well as you fought him well both times?

Juan Manuel Marquez: (English Translation) I haven't lost, I haven't lost anything, I haven't lost anything at all, and the people will see that we've won. And decisions like this is obviously discouraged, but we believe we won.

Larry Merchant: Thank you Juan Manuel for another wonderful fight.

Pacquiao vs Marquez Rematch is a see saw affair, that although fought with tactics and calculated punches, was nonetheless full of drama that you would have expected of a Pacquiao match. Pacquiao won, and if anything else he proves to be an exciting fighter capable of generating crowd-pleasing suspense in a fight.

The judge's scorecard showed what amount to be a virtual draw, a reminiscent of their May 8, 2004 fight. But unlike their previous fight, one man won this time, that is Manny Pacquiao. So those who waited for four years for a decision has been finally given their due, albeit not so clear cut.
